When it comes to a day at Keeneland, there’s some things you’ll want to remember before you pull through the gates. There are are few things I’ve learned over the years when it comes to picking out a Keeneland outfit y’all.
Keeneland Favorites
We can all have fun, regardless of our budget or level of dress. Both the Kentucky and Lexington rooms have a dress code for business formals. The Phoenix Room, on the other hand, is a more casual setting for business meetings. Vineyard Vines and Lilly Pulitzer are two of the best things to see here. The mornings are early and evenings late, but the day is spent enjoying one of the best traditions known to Kentucky. I don’t know what it is about Keeneland, but it’s significantly more windy when you walk inside. I save the flowy, mini dresses for another occasion because I don’t want to be worried about a gust of wind flipping up the hem line of my dress. I’m 5’2″ by the way, so the length is perfect for me with a little heel.

Whether full of people or bustling with workers preparing for the meet, Keeneland is a magical place. It is so picturesque, truly what you envision when you think of horse country. I’ve said this before, but one of my favorite things about going to UK was being able to go to the track every April and October.
